Back it up...

to the beginning of May,
Where we said goobye again to Mindy. It was a quick trip, but every moment we had was treasured! Love you Min!
And now we are fully in spring. Complete with showers and flowers.
Dennis pick away at the lot when he has time while V picks at...other things.
This spring we've been able to see all sorts of babies.

Last week we were blessed with a visit from both of my parents.
They were able to join us for J's last cello concert,

view E's displayed art at school,
help us cheer on J at a very cold baseball game,

and celebrate B's first birthday.
He was a very polite host and showed interest in all of his presents.
He enjoyed his first taste of sugar.
He also played pin the tail on the donkey. (J decided to make a political statement w/ the hat on the donkey)
A good day!

Baseball and stuff

J has had a couple of games now and if you ask he'll tell you that they've won them all so far. Technically they still don't keep score at this age, but you better believe that the kids do!

Batting is definitely is favorite part.

He's always ready to be a part of the action.

He actually pitched the first inning of a game. Four strikes! He really got into the form of pitching.

The other night the kids were giggling and talking way past lights out so I went in there with camera (lights still off) and aimed at their beds and this is what I found.

J couldn't handle the flash.

This was at J's baseball opening ceremonies. V pretty much calls any drink of ours that isn't water "coffee". It is actually coffee in Den's mug. Are we starting him too young?

School's Out!

SO I really wanted to get a picture off J leaping of the bus and into summer. However I was inside dealing with other children. You'll just have to believe me when I tell you he's done. Although, J really likes school and if it went all year I don't think he'd care too much. He loves to go anywhere and do almost anything, as long as there are others there to do it with.

He had his last baseball game on Monday. He had a really good team that only lost one game (and it was a close one) and tied another. He also had great coaches. They even passed out trophies at the end (which was on their own accord, not every team got these). J was over the moon about this as it was his first trophy (sister has two from her dance recitals, he pointed out that his trophy was bigger.)

Ava (niece) stayed with us for 5 days while her parents went on a trip to the DR. Her and E buddied up and played so well together. She was a joy to have.
It's kitten time.

*is there a way to flip this? help if you know how and I'm sorry for the kink in your neck, but i do know a good chiropractor.

baseball game

Last Sunday our church gathered at a the stadium of our hometown's minor league team. There was food to be eaten and people to chat with and tons of stuff for the kids to do.

We had our pick of some empty seats and J decided he wanted to sit on the end even though it was about 5 seats away from us.

V's view.

E was concerned there would be fireworks.

Yes, they have a merry-go-round, as well as a couple of bouncy, jumpy toys, and a playground.

I could see the headlines.. "Church Crowds Bridge; Bridge collapes". They were all gathered to watch the bumper boats as our Pastor was in line with the kids.

Someone had an extra ticket and so J got to ride to. Can you find him? Our Pastor is the one holding his heart.

No matter how he begged, or pointed....

the kids had no mercy on him...such a good sport.

J was soaked as well.

Tball & Swimming

We are done with our extracurricular activities as of tomorrow and officially starting our summer. J has his last game tomorrow night. He has loved it and it's been a great way for him to practice being a good sport as our boy loves to be first, always win and be a helper. The only thing I would consider complaining about is there is a girl on the team that goes around kissing the boys and let's just say that he's not complaining.

After he tagged the base and the other player kept going, J proceeded to race the boy to home plate and got him out! Although he could of just tagged him.

E loved her swim lessons (though she just told me she doesn't want to go this morning, I'm sure it's just her stubbornness) and did really well considering she was one of the only ones who couldn't touch on flat feet. She'll be ready for Grandpa and Grandma's pool!

Visitors

We were blessed with visitors at the beginning of the month. My mom and grandma flew in early Thursday morning and my dad came in saturday.

V was the perfect host by sitting down and telling Grandma what has happened since her last visit. He is quite the talker.

On Friday we went downtown and saw this funky fountain with leaping water.

Friday evening J escorted Gram and Great Gram to Sight and Sound Theater for the production of Daniel.

Saturday we had a lunch with dessert for my grandma, she turned 75 and I hope I have her genes, because she looks fab!! Happy Birthday Grandma!

Saturday was the big event, E's dance recital. She danced to Alice in Wonderland and was oh my...too cute. At the beginning of the show everyone got a trophy so she felt like big stuff.

On Monday, the G's caught one of J's Tball games. He loves to run all over the field to get the ball, and therefore is often reminded by the coach to stay by his base.

Uncle Dwayne and Aunt Abby came to the game and E was in heaven with all the love she was getting from their new puppy Lincoln. He would bury his nose into her to stay warm, so sweet!

These are just a few more around the house shots.

V loves his big brother.

I'm trying to teach my son that real men can fold their own laundry. Notice the nearly full basket, that's all him!

So close to rolling over!
